Durbanville Distillery Spiced Rum
Our spiced rum arose from our fertile soil under the bright African sky. It was meticulously transformed from sugar cane to molasses
thereafter fermented, aged and finished with a hint of spices true to its origin.
Here at Durbanville Distillery we strive to retain the heritage of rum whilst applying modern methods to produce a smooth, soft and
subtle rum. Only the purest of African grown ingredients are used coupled with a revolutionary method of cold distillation.
Our spiced rum is twice distilled and meticulously aged in American Oak barrels before it is infused with selected spices to capture
the essence, taste and heritage true to South Africa.
Ingredients: African Black Strap molasses aged in american oak barrels with cinnamon, cloves and pimenta.
Nose: Oak and vanilla notes with hint of cinnamon and cloves
Palate: Rich and warm cinnamon character followed with a lingering sweet vanilla and oak aftertaste.
